I Don't Want Another Family to Lose a Child the Way We did

Edutorial Illustrationa

For this illustration project, I was tasked to recreate an editorial illustration based on The New York Times Opinion Article. My illustration depicts a grieving mother holding a glowing basket, symbolizing the enduring presence of her lost child's soul. A hole in her heart signifies the permanent void left by the loss while surrounding branches represent parental care and protection. I used Illustrator and Photoshop; this artwork captures the profound impact of loss and the resilience of the human spirit. It's one of my favorite pieces because it deeply touches me.
